Coconut Matcha Latte

Warm up and chill out with a cup of rich and creamy coconut milk latte with green tea.

Matcha tea is loaded with healthy antioxidants, it's also a great source of L-Theanine, an amino acid which is supposed to promote relaxation. 

For a single serving, you'll need:

  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1/3 cup raw cane sugar
  • 1 tablespoon warm water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons matcha tea powder

In a small saucepan, warm the coconut milk and sugar over medium heat until sugar has dissolved and mixture is very warm to the touch.  Don't let the milk boil, just heat it through.  Mix the Matcha and water with a spoon to form a paste, then add the warm coconut milk.  Using a small whisk, milk frother, or blender, whip the Matcha paste and coconut milk until well combined and frothy.
